After years of collecting, curating and building color projects,
I made a website to explore them all the names.

Also, most people don’t “move” to a new network.

They add another one to the ones they already have.

You’re not taking people from X or Facebook or Instagram.

You’re asking them to also start using Bluesky.

You can’t convince people to move to a new network for ideological reasons. A few will; most won’t. The only driver is giving them something new that they want and can’t get anywhere else.

Here’s what I do know.

If someone white was doing half the stuff Blacksky has done in the last year, they’d be lauded as one of the most forward thinking and innovative people on the planet.

But it just shows how progress is always happening, especially in places where folks don’t want to look

Volunteers can sign-up to help moderate each of the local newsrooms, and they've created this Uncle Sam Hat item to give away as a thanks!

One of the coolest things about the open social web is your ability to make new algorithms to highlight the information you think is important. Being able to work on them as a team makes this even more powerful. This is great!

Tbch, llms haven't really impressed me until just now. The logistical and coding capabilities of astra and the opus 5.5 have levels of nuance and detail orientedness that don't feel like complete slop anymore, at least not the same kind of slop. Inference is starting to model and act on my intents.
